Why are some camps opening if you are not?
Each camp is different and will ultimately assess its ability to operate in 2020 based on federal, state, and local guidance, its facilities, programming, location, and many other factors.
Is there a way we can visit camp this summer?
We would love for you to visit camp if it is deemed safe!
We are alsways looking for the WLC community to come to camp for a visit or to help with some of the projects.
In order to ensure the safety of everyone in our community, please contct the camp office if you would like to spend the day at camp.
Does 2020 count towards my Bill Larry Boy and Bill Larry Man recognition?
If you were due to receive your Bill Larry Boy or Bill Larry Man in 2020, you will get it when you return to camp and you will get credit for summer 2020. So, if you were supposed to get your Bill Larry Boy in 2020 and you come back in 2021, you will receive your Bill Larry Boy recognition and be in your sixth WLC summer.
I'm 15 and this was going to be my last summer. Now what?
William Lawrence will welcome back domestic 16 year olds as either 2nd year Seniors or LITs. International 16 year olds have always been and will continue to be second year Seniors.
This was supposed to be my LIT summer. What happens now?
We plan to run the LIT program virtually with the potential of spending some time onsite for summer 2020.
More information will be sent home when we finish developing the online program.
I was supposed to be a staff member this year, what now?
All staff that was hired or placed with an agency has a standing job for summer 2021. Nat will reach out at the end of the year to confirm your intent to join us.
How can I help William Lawrence?
As a non-profit organization, William Lawrence relies on the generosity of our community members to help put our mission into action. Suspending camp this summer will have a dramatic impact not just on our operating budget for this year, but on our future enrollment and capacity for growth.
Stay tuned for a Capital Campaign that will be presented via email and social media. In the meantime, consider donating online by clicking HERE.
Is there a way I can stay in touch with my camp friends?
Yes! WLC will continue to oganize Re-ZOOM-ions as well as create smaller Zoom calls for current campers based on Unit.
We are also working on a WLC Directory so everyone will have each other's contact information. Please stay tuned as this may take a little while to organize.
So, will WLC offer anything this summer?
Camp is something that lives inside each of us. Although we will not be together this summer, we can support each other from a distance. William Lawrence’s staff is working to develop ways for us to connect and continue some of camp’s traditions and programming remotely. We would love to hear your suggestions about other ways we can have a great WLC experience separate yet together.
When can I expect dates and rates for summer 2021?
We plan to have 2021's dtaes and rates available by August 1st. Those that choose to roll their 2020 deposit to 2021 will automatically receive the Early Enrollment Discount.

Dear WLC Family,
Dear Parents and Staff,
We are excited to announce that 100% of our staff will be vaccinated this summer! We are still processing how this will effect camp but we wanted to share our pride in the responsible, caring staff we will have on site this summer.
As we process the information we are gathering from the State of NH, the CDC, our weekly calls with the New Hampshire Camp Director Association and personal calls to individual camps, we have decided that pre-arrival testing is no longer necessary for FULLY VACCINATED campers and staff. We are continuing to analyze and discuss the necessity of the Arrival Day and Week 1 tests for VACCINATED campers and staff but have NOT made a decision to change our original policy yet.
We are also happy to announce that campers, vaccinated or not, will NOT have to wear masks this summer when outside! As our program, including mealtimes this summer, is almost completely outdoors, we do not foresee campers having to wear masks for the majority of the summer. Exceptions include when indoors with multiple cohorts (we do not plan to schedule this) and all-camp seated activities such as Council Ring and Password. We are working to make slight changes to these types of activities to allow for mask-less enjoyment.
We are planning and preparing for the possibility of COVID exposure at camp although we do not expect to have to use these plans. We are still taking precautions to ensure our unvaccinated population is completely safe at camp. We continue to require a negative pre-arrival molecular test for unvaccinated campers, as well as an Arrival Day and Week 1 negative test results. We have added ventilation to all our buildings, including solar powered fans to our cabins, to protect the well-being of all campers if we were to face inclement weather. We will also be ensuring our staff does not have the potential to bring COVID into camp and that our program is designed to ensure the lowest rate of transmission, ie. outdoors with a lot of movement!
Although we are not requiring anyone to be vaccinated prior to the start of camp, we know that vaccinated campers and staff that are potentially exposed to COVID at camp will not have to quarantine. This will allow us to continue with our normal program. For campers that are not able to be vaccinated and are potentially exposed to COVID at camp, we will create a complete quarantine schedule which simply separates those campers from the larger population but still allows them to enjoy every aspect of camp.
Please remember that regardless of being vaccinated or not, you MUST complete the Pre-Screening Questionnaire via campdoc.com for the 7 days prior to arrival. In this questionnaire you will have the opportunity to upload your son(s)’s vaccination record.
Please call or email with any questions or concerns.
Looking forward to summer 2021!Nat and Jessica
