The Board of Trustees is thrilled to announce that Kevin O’Neill has been appointed Interim Camp
Director for the upcoming camp season!
Kevin’s journey with William Lawrence Camp is nothing short of inspiring. For nearly 20 years, he has grown with us—starting out as a camper back in 2006, moving up to counselor, and ultimately being honored with induction into the prestigious Woodsman Honor Society. In 2025, Kevin returned as Assistant Director, bringing his energy, passion, and leadership back to the community he calls home.
But Kevin’s impact extends far beyond Camp. A proud Boston College graduate with a degree in History and Economics, he has led sea kayaking expeditions in Alaska, worked as a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual, and studied law at the University of Connecticut. And yet, even while away, Kevin never truly left WLC—he continued to recruit new campers, volunteer during service weekends, and keep the Camp spirit alive.
Now, as of October 1, 2025, Kevin has officially stepped into his new role as Interim Camp Director. He will be guiding every aspect of Camp—camper recruitment, program development, staff training, and more. His experience, vision, and love for WLC ensure that every camper will have an unforgettable and meaningful summer filled with tradition, growth, and adventure.
Trustee Patrick Rae shares:
“As a former camper, counselor, and now Trustee and proud parent and uncle of current campers, I’ve had the pleasure of watching Kevin grow within the William Lawrence Camp community. I have full confidence in his ability to carry forward the traditions and spirit that make this place so special, and I’m truly excited to work alongside him next season.”
We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter. With Kevin’s leadership, William Lawrence Camp is ready to make the upcoming season one of the best yet!
Here’s to a summer of growth, tradition, and unforgettable memories, led by one of our very own!
